My Music

Original Tracks by NyX

Hide and Seek

Track 1 – Echoes in the Skyline

This was the very first track I made using Ableton. It started as an experiment with sounds and samples while I was still learning the basics. Echoes in the Skyline is all about discovery — exploring what music production could feel like for the very first time.

Track 2 – Star Trails

A special collaboration with Juilliard-trained producer Ricardo Romaneiro. Together, we spent hours creating this track and publishing it online. For me, Star Trails represents a milestone — the moment when I realized that music could be more than just a hobby; it could be something I share with the world.

Track 3 – Night Sky

My first independent solo track after being inspired by my collaboration. Night Sky reflects creativity, joy, and the confidence I built through practice. It also completes my first 3-track album as Nyx, which I hope is just the beginning of a much bigger musical journey.

Track 4-Infected

Infected was a fun one to make, if I'm being honest, I personally didn't like it very much, it has a surprise at the end which is intentionally designed to shock people, it uses the "Womp Bass" a MIDI instrument in Ableton Live 12 Standard. I remember thinking: "Why would anyone use this?" It was a bass used in Infected and normally used for the structure of the track. I think it also provided a lead component which was cool. I used another sample to create the abrupt section It was a really loud, obnoxious instrument and i played the notes in a way which would really go the way it was designed to. the track finished with a crackle, I believe it was 8 bars long at a bpm of around 120. I remember someone thinking that their speakers were broken as the crackle came.

Track 5-Color Splat

Color Splat is really different from Infected. I feel that it would be likely for songs to be released within 24 hours of each other would be pretty similar but to be honest, Infected was a one time thing, Color Splat was a cross between IDM/Experimental and house music. There's an argument that house is not EDM (Electronic Dance Music) I believe it is. Color Splat had that vibe to it, that progression that I feel would be ideal for a fun DJ mix, you have the availability to take the sample of audio which replaces the drums at the beginning of the track or you could take the middle part, where all of the tracks and layers come together. Color Splat had some great layering to it. I made it with my dad. We started it off around 2 months after the release of Night Sky and added a few layers to it, I remember taking hours out of our days to sample some basses, makeshift synthesizers and some cool leads. We added things to playlists, and within the process of creation of Color Splat, I got the idea to make an Ableton workspace with different sample which I can drag-and-drop into my tracks when out of ideas. We forgot about the project for a month and a half or so and remembered when I was browsing my desktop folder. We did work, structured it properly and adding the last instruments before doing the last little tweaks to it and releasing it at the same time as Infected. I love Color Splat for it's vibe and rhythms.

Track 6-Kinetic Canopy

Kinetic Canopy was never meant to be released. It all happened in a school music lesson. We were meant to create a 10-20 second loop, very simple. School was online due to a conflict and it was meant to be made using bandlabs or GarageBand. I had the permission to use Ableton Live and I layered and created a 1:15 minute long track, It used 3 or 4 instruments, a drum kit and I believe 2 bells and a synth. One of the bells was Island Bells and it had a sort of reverb which I personally loved, I tweaked them a slight bit  more to add some more authenticity to it, my teacher loved it and I decided to duplicate it, faded it slightly, added some contrast and a few other things to make it fade out smoothly, it had a gradual entrance into the kick loop which made it flow well and not seem like it was only added to add length.

Dimensional Reset.png

Track 7-Dimensional Reset

Kinetic Canopy and Dimensional Reset are similarly made with similar structure but dimensional reset leans toward the Experimental genre because of the instruments and structure. I made it because of Kinetic Canopy and wanted to showcase more music to fans giving them a variety of this type of progression. Dimensional Reset is favored in my family due to it's grooviness and dance style while Kinetic Canopy has gained more streams in the same period of time.

Bonus-Synth Wave

Synth Wave is literally just a sample of Kinetic Canopy. I tweaked a few things to optimize the flow but really the whole purpose of it was to complete my LANDR profile and allow my style of music to be able to be freely demonstrated.

The Secrets Inside

The Secrets Inside is my 11 track ambient album. Spanning 9 months, it all started on November 11th 2025, 9 days before the release of Color Splat and Infected and months before Dimensional Reset and Kinetic Canopy. It demonstrates growth, the album feels like the peak of my music development, 11 tracks, all with a different story, starting with Reverie (intro). Reverie is the start, the intro, I want it to feel like: you can stay here, I want it to be calming, a 2 minute snapshot, a casual listener will likely never understand all of the mental aspects. Reverie was started on November 11 2025, inspired my newly discovered love for my head is empty and Øneheart's style of ambient electronic music. It took a month and a half to complete, through struggles, confusion and the feeling of success when I finished a single ambient pad, leading into another pit of darkness. The first draft was completed on January 1st 2026 at 1:19 am on New Year's Day. Sleepwalking was the track which experimented, added tons of features and endless amounts of tweaks producing a track 2 minutes and 26 seconds. 2:26 of pure experimentation, a ground pad, overlooking pad, shimmer, noise, 2 or 3 ghost pads and a full bg ghost pad which I believed to sound slightly like a piano. Insomnia was the 3rd track, a darker one, primarily set one octave lower (12 semitones and 8 notes lower in pitch), it showed another side of ambient. The next track is Beyond the Silence the first track where i introduce a lead pad, which once was the pinnacle of my ambient tracks and is now just an essential part of my tracks, the lead pad followed a simple structure at the start, transitioning into a beautifully complex series of notes in a beautiful pad looping perfectly with the different sections perfectly made. Resurrection is the 5th track, I genuinely thought that it was the peak of the album at one point. It blends all of the components greatly. Elsewhere is the track where I introduced a new style, new even to me. It relied heavily on FX, for elsewhere I added a simple reversed section where the purpose is to drag the listener into the next part of the pad. It is utilized in the lead pad and the overlooking pad, once in the lead and alternating between every clip of the overlooking. Dreaming is the experimental track of this style, focusing on multiple different sections, each pad utilizing different audio effects like reverb and echo to create massive space and echoes between notes. Echolocation is the 8th track, it's the finale of this style and from track 9 onwards it is in the old style of ambient. They have a lot of mysteries so I will cover the broad topics leaving most of the secrets for listeners to discover. Track 9 is called what is this feeling, it is the longest of the album so far, stretching 5:24 minutes long. The rest is for you to discover. Ascending. Track 10, the name matches. The track has a feeling of ascension. It's intentionally higher pitched and the sequence of notes has a deep meaning to it. Onto the finale.  Heavenly (outro) is the final track, the last act. It spans 61 bars at 40 bpm. 6:06. The process is the most memorable be a long shot. The one thing which I will reveal is the final note. It's faint, gradually getting louder. I used something which I call "The cold/left warm/right stereo temperature". It's something I utilized across the whole album. The final note it fully panned to the left, the cold/left warm/right stereo temperature says that left is colder, more distant and right is warm, closer. The note is fully panned to the left, as distant as it gets. This is solely my opinion on it, not factual. The rest is up to you. Enjoy.
